With these guides, you’ll know exactly where to go, what information to have ready, and how to ensure your payment is processed securely and on time.

4. From the Apply Payment To dropdown, select one of the following (based on Step 3):

Application for Extension – Income Tax Form 1040

5. Select the tax year the payment is for
6. Select Continue
A pop-up will appear to verify the Balance Due Payment information. Confirm and select Continue or Cancel.

Email Confirmation (optional):

Review disclosure authorization → Select I Agree

Review and sign all information (Reason for Payment, Tax Year, Payment Amount, Routing Number, etc.)

Submit the payment by entering your First Name, Last Name, and SSN/ITIN

Check the box: I accept the Debit Authorization Agreement

Save a copy of the confirmation for your records

8. Under Filing Location, select Within the US
9. (Optional) Select the box to receive notice by mail from IRS
10. Select Next
